QR your Wi-Fi Network
Recently (read in the last 2 months) the folks over at the ZXing Project added the ability to encode WiFi base stations in QR codes. This includes SSID, Password, and Network type (WEP, WPA/WPA2). At the same time they added support for these codes to the Android Barcode Scanner application.
This is an easy way to use QR codes all hotels, restaurants, Starbucks', and public WiFi access points could easily add them to the table tents, flyers, etc. that announce they have WiFi.
I would really love to see these types of codes take hold. What do you guys think?

I would use these QR codes on a business card that the cafe’s or bar’s staff hand out to customers. This way, it is the customers who are going to spend at these venues who are the ones who use the Wi-Fi hotspot.
